Some tips and explanations

Lighting

It’s not a bug, it’s a feature! This house has spotlights with three cool lighting modes! To switch between them, just turn on the lights and do a quick off-on cycle within five seconds. You’ll go from a cozy yellow dim lighting to a warm white glow, and then to a crisp, pure white lighting. Isn’t that amazing?

Soundbar

The soundbar has different input channels. You can stream directly to the bar using the Bluetooth mode (BT), or you can switch it to the optical input (OPT) coming from the TV, to enhance the TV sound, or listen to one of the numerous digital radios available on the TV. You switch between modes by pushing the button on the top right side. Avoid switching the TV channel when being on the OPT channel, because otherwise you will hear an unpleasant peak noise.

Chromecast streaming

(currently not available as it was stolen recently)

A Google Chromecast device is attached to the TV in the living room. Connect the device “Duinrand 15 Living TV” to your smartphone to stream videos or music to the TV.

Ventilation

In the kitchen you have a selector switch to set the speed of the house ventilation. It is recommended to let it run on speed 2 or 3, in order to get the best air quality. You may set it to 1 once you leave the house.

Temperature control

The temperature control is very simple. In the living room you have a single thermostat. You turn the outer ring to set the desired temperature (temperature aim). A couple of seconds after turning the ring, you will see the current temperature. Please allow some time to the room temperature to climb to the desired value.

Outdoor lights

There are two outdoor lights (for the garden, and on the front), with an indicator light on the switch. Please turn them off if you do not need the lights.

IR heater

The IR heater can be switched on using a timer: you can select a duration between 10 and 120 minutes. Do not forget to check if the plug of the IR heater is actually plugged in (on the outside wall).

Clock

In the living room there is an analog clock, which is radio controlled – the time should always be correct. If the clock stopped working, it is likely the batteries are empty (although they are regularly changed). You are of course free to insert new batteries.
